When you think of ‘Asgard’ you might first of the high-security sheds that protect valuable possessions all over the UK. You might also conjure up images of the superhero universe created by comic legends Marvel, which is a small planetary body that serves as home to the Norse gods, or you may have already made a link to the mythical Viking kingdom from your knowledge of history.

Cycling is something that the Asgard team have a passion for and when we come across like-minded people and products we get excited. Recently, we came across a wonderful illustrated cycling journal and decided we had to share it with our own followers, created by two Kickstarter’s Claire and Ania.

Asgard recently helped out the London based, Wheels for Wellbeing charity, by supplying them with a secure storage unit to keep some of their bicycles safe and secure at their headquarters.

Whilst we were visiting the charity we learnt a great deal about some of the barriers that come between disabled people and riding bikes.

Neil Andrews, the Campaigns & Policy Officer at Wheels for Wellbeing, has kindly answered some questions we presented the charity with.

The Hiplok team love riding bikes and they collectively agree that it’s the best feeling in the world. They believe that protecting your bike shouldn’t take away any of the enjoyment of riding it

On Wednesday the 2^nd of November the Asgard team took a trip from their Bradford, West Yorkshire HQ to Brixton in London, where the Wheels for Wellbeing charity is situated.

Asgard storage units feature tough 3 and 5 point locking systems. Both types of locking systems come with handles that are designed to snap off during an attempted break in.

Picture this, you come home from work on a winters evening, keen to get your bike on the road. You quickly pull off your tie and fling your shirt and trousers across the room, eager to put on your bib shorts.

Recently Sandy and her husband Brian purchased one of our Asgard sheds to store all of the children’s outdoor equipment, as well as the couples gardening tools.

Here at Asgard we make cycle sheds and we’re very proud of that. What the general public might not know is that many of us are also keen cyclists.
